'The use of horses to benefit mankind has been in existence for hundreds of years. Recently, horses have begun helping humans in an exciting new field recognised as Equine Assisted Learning (EAL).
This leading edge training methodology provides the one thing all other experiential programs cannot - it uses horses not as tools, but as active participants that help to facilitate the learning experience. Horses offer us opportunities to discover what we need to change in order to succeed in personal and professional relationships.
EAL is not about horsemanship or horse training. In fact, horses are not ridden during the activities which are conducted on the ground between horses and humans.
While the EAL approach is focused on learning, it is non- directive. EAL guides participants to:
- Develop problem solving skills
- Improve decision-making
- Work as a productive and effective team
- Communicate more clearly
- Develop leadership skills
- Uncover their strengths
- Reconnect to purpose and meaning
- Develop clear intention and focus on their goals
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Enforce their boundaries
- Find their authentic selves
